Margarita's Jalisco

Jalisco is a region of Mexico that has inspired the menu of Margarita's Jalisco, another local favorite Mexican restaurant that has its own signature style. Jorge's Cantina is a quirky and welcoming place where everyone is greeted like family. The art on the walls is fantastic, and the food is even better. The staff is extremely friendly and will greet everyone who comes in with a smile. Jorge himself often comes out to make sure everyone is having a good time. 

Everything on the menu is fresh and delicious, with more than a little something for everyone. This may be why it's such a popular location for big groups of friends, family, and coworkers who gather for parties around lunch and dinner every day. You will always find the vibe lively and energetic, where big hats abound.

Their signature is the Blue Dream Margarita, which has a beautiful electric blue color and delightful flavor that is perfect for unwinding with great people and great food. Then you can end your meal with a delicious plate of sopapillas, churros dipped in whipped cream, or fried ice cream.

Taco Villa

When you want tacos, nachos, and other Mexican street food and you want it fast, head to Taco Villa. This busy location across from the Fairland Plaza Shopping Center is the perfect place for a quick lunch or dinner on the go. With its unassuming appearance, locals consider it a hidden jewel.

There are tacos, tostadas, nachos, burritos, enchiladas, and chalupas all served "to go" style at a great price. This makes it the perfect grab-and-go Mexican restaurant in contrast to the usual dine-in dinner plate style.

There's also something on the menu called "Thing" (Meat, cheese, "both sauces", melted over fried flour shell) which is admittedly delicious, and "Veggie Thing" with beans instead of meat. In fact, there's a pretty good veggie menu, as well as normal hot dogs and burgers for friends who aren't feeling the taco vibe.

Amigos Topeka

Amigos Topeka is everything you could want from a Mexican Restaurant: Colorful walls with flags, colorful plates, icy margaritas, and big portions of delicious Mexican food. You'll find it on the far south end of Topeka near the Home Depot and Tractor Supply Co. So, if you're far from the usual restaurant clusters, this is a great place to stop for lunch or dinner.  It's also known for friendly service and is a favorite place for racers at Heartland Motorsports to grab lunch.

The prices for a dinner platter are pretty good, and the service is fast, so you never have to wait long for your meal. It's great for a quiet meal in comparison with downtown locations, and the food is both authentic and farm-to-table fresh.

For dessert, save room for a sopaipilla, fried ice cream, 10" churros, Mexican flan, or NY Cheesecake.
